My name is Shaalin Sehra (she/her) and I am a first-year PhD Candidate in the Gaia Lab, a Planetary Surface Processes Group at MIT. I explore the evolution of surface processes on Mars and analog environments on Earth to better understand Martian history! I use remote sensing and computer modeling coupled with fieldwork/labwork.

Currently, I am using remote sensing to map, date, and analyze landslide deposits in the Valles Marineris.

When I’m not studying rocks, I love to climb them and teaching others to climb!
